This past August, Fan Expo Canada once again took over the city of Toronto. And with it, a slew of stars and guests from some of the most popular TV shows and movies making up the pop culture fandom! One of which was Arrow star Stephen Amell!
During his panel, unsurprisingly, talk soon shifted to the heroes Zack Snyder is assembling for both Dawn of Justice and Justice League respectively. Amell quickly put the discussion to rest, simply saying that they are creating a TV based version of the Justice League and that he feels his character would not be participating on the cinematic side of the DC Comics Universe.
After assuring fans that the Justice League elements are already present within both the Arrow and Flash TV Universe, featuring Arsenal and soon to include the Atom (Brandon Routh) and Firestorm (Robbie Amell), Stephen than went on to admit he would like to see Green Lantern show up on Arrow at some point, saying during the panel: "Now, boy we've referenced Ferris Air a lot. It would be really cool to have Green Lantern. Hopefully, that happens. I have no inside information, unless I do."
So, is Amell hiding something? Ferris Air has indeed shown up, or been referenced in Arrow since Season 1, and fans have been wondering if Hal Jordan's next appearance would be on the small screen. In any case, this was something that hung in our minds since Fan Expo, and we're genuinely hoping that Green Lantern will be making an appearance, and perhaps making up a spot on the DC TV Universe Justice League, in the near future.
What do you guys think? Is Stephen Amell being coy? Does he know something we don't? Are there plans for the Emerald Knight in a future episode of Arrow? And is the world ready to see Hal Jordan (or any of the other Earth-based) Green Lantern's after the failure of Martin Campbell's 2011 film?
What do you guys think?
