Even before the calamity that was X-Men Origins Wolverine there were some doubts about whether a Deadpool movie would work on the big screen.
Will We Ever See A Deadpool Movie?
Deadpool, for those that don't already know, is a disfigured psychotic mutant who was experimented on in the same Weapon X program that gave Wolverine his adamantium skeleton but who, unlike Wolverine, knows he is in a comic book and regularly breaks the fourth wall, speaking directly to his audience.
Because of his strange relationship with the Marvel Universe - he once attempted to kill every other superhero on earth, for example - it might be difficult to fit Deadpool in the same universe with the rest of the X-Men.
That said, it is not impossible - and the appearance of William Stryker, the mastermind behind the Weapon X, at the end of X-Men Days of Future Past (even if it was only a disguised Mystique) seemed to hint that we could see the Weapon X program in the upcoming [X-Men: Apocalypse](movie:1194267).
There are other factors that may be working Deadpool's favor, too. Deadpool has previously formed an unlikely double act with one character predicted to appear in X-Men Apocalypse, the time traveling cyborg Cable.
There was also, of course, the now infamous leaked test footage, which showed Ryan Reynolds voicing Deadpool in just under 2 minutes of anarchic, fourth-wall breaking mayhem.

X-Men Apocalypse Confirms Deadpool? Director Attached?
However, despite all these factors, it does not seem there has been any real confirmation that X-Men Apocalypse *will* set up a Deadpool movie, and it seems unlikely that details of the post-credits scene have already been leaked.
That has not stopped another website reporting exactly that, however, also claiming the Deadpool movie's director will be Jeff Wadlow, writer and director of [Kick-Ass 2](movie:39248).
Whether this information is true (despite there being no discernible source) or if it is invented is still unclear - but if the latter were true, it would surely be much to the irritation of Deadpool fans everywhere, who are getting more and more desperate for reliable information.
