This one is for all of you lovable Whovians out there! It looks like one of the most recent former Doctors, Matt Smith, is snatching up roles left and right these days. In addition to an unspecified role in Terminator: Genisys (seriously. That title.), as well as a part in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, Lost River, Smith has signed on to kick some zombie ass! But dignified zombie ass. Proper British zombie ass. Arse, if you will.
According to Empire, Smith will be playing the less-than-popular character of Mr. Collins in the upcoming, Natalie Portman-produced film version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. He will be joining Lily James as Elizabeth Bennett and Sam Riley as Mr. Darcy, who were both cast last month. Also starring in the film are Jack Huston (who is also killing it with the title role in the Ben-Hur remake), Douglas Booth and Bella Heathcote. The adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's genre mashup novel nonsense will begin filming next week! Burr Steers, who has also adapted some of the script, will be directing the film.
