When Pixar burst onto the scene in 1995 with Toy Story they changed the face of animation movies forever. Now, 19 years later, animated movies are regarded as a true art.

It takes a special team to be able to create an entire world, well-rounded characters and then finally get the right person to bring them to life as the voice. Pixar has really nailed this over the years and I found it very interesting that many of the child characters in the movie were voiced by kids of the same age.

Check out what the kids who voiced iconic Pixar characters look like now:

-----------------------------------------

John Morris, Toy Story (1995)

Age then: 11 (Toy Story), 15 when released (Toy Story 2), 25 (Toy Story 3)

Age now: 29

What's he been up to?: It looks like after the success of playing Andy in all three of the Toy Story films, John Morris caught the bug! After graduating UCLA in 2007, he has aspirations to work in both theater and voice work.

----------------------------------------

Hayden Panettiere, A Bug's Life (1998)

Age then: 9

Age now: 25

What's she been up to?: Probably the most well known name on the list, Hayden Panettiere has had a huge career since her first feature film debut in A Bug's Life. Panettiere is probably most recognizable for her roles in the TV shows Heroes and Nashville and films Remember the Titans and I Love You, Beth Cooper. Hayden has also voiced many animated characters since Dot, in the movies Racing Stripes, Scooby-Doo and the Goblin King and Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil.

-----------------------------------------

Mary Gibbs, Monsters, Inc. (2001)

Age then: 2.5 when recording the voice, 5 when the movie was released.

Age now: 17

What's she been up to?: Prior to Monsters, Inc. Mary had done voice work for The Lion King II: Simba's Pride voicing Baby Kiara. After Monsters, Inc. she continued and voiced Sha-Ron in Mulan II in 2004. These days according to her Instagram, Mary is a huge yoga enthusiast!

-----------------------------------------

Alexander Gould, Finding Nemo (2003)

Age then: 9

Age now: 20

What's he been up to?: Shortly after Finding Nemo became a huge hit, Alexander Gould joined the cast of Weeds and played the character of Shane Botwin for eight seasons. he was also in the film How to Eat Fried Worms as well as voicing characters in Bambi II and Curious George and the recently released Superman: Unbound.
