I love a good comeback. Unfortunately for me, I only think of them about 10 minutes after it would have been appropriate. Do you know how awkward it is to text someone after an argument and using a comeback that is now way out of context? Yeah...totally. Me neither.

Whether you're saying them out loud, or you actually have a filter, so you're saying them mentally, here are some good examples of comebacks and burns brought to you by the beautiful characters of our favorite Disney films.

--------------------------------------------------

ANNA - FROZEN

Do you need some ice for that burn? Careful, this one might be a little too cold.

--------------------------------------------------

TIMON - THE LION KING

Honesty is the best policy from time to time. Maybe not this time, but definitely some other times.

--------------------------------------------------

YAO - MULAN

Helpful hint: Saying this behind someones back doesn't make it any less effective. Ouch.

--------------------------------------------------

TERK - TARZAN

Best when used to describe your friend's bedroom. What a disgusting mess he/she is!

--------------------------------------------------

GASTON - BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

And wouldn't that be awful? Who would make all the sandwiches?!

--------------------------------------------------

FLORA - SLEEPING BEAUTY

Sorry, Merryweather. Sometime the truth hurts, girl.

--------------------------------------------------

FRANCIS - OLIVER & COMPANY

It's probably best you just go sit in that corner with a big bowl of shut-the-hell-up.

--------------------------------------------------

SHENZI - THE LION KING

Use this whenever someone is throwing shade your way.

--------------------------------------------------

KUZCO - THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE

Definitely worth saying to someone who just threw off your groove, man.

--------------------------------------------------

MUSHU - MULAN

Hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your cow cause they're dishonoring everybody out here.

--------------------------------------------------

MARIE - THE ARISTOCATS

Too right you are, my dear Marie. This one is especially useful when arguing with your significant other.

--------------------------------------------------

MOTHER GOTHEL - TANGLED

Upside: This is effective and hilarious. Downside: You need a mirror for this to work.

--------------------------------------------------

ARIEL - THE LITTLE MERMAID

Yeah, Sebastian. I thought you were a crab, not a RAT! Nailed it.

--------------------------------------------------

HERMES - HERCULES

Always a crowd-pleaser when everyone at the party is staring at that awkward couple that is way too into PDA.

--------------------------------------------------

MARCH HARE - ALICE IN WONDERLAND

This is far too applicable. I think someone could get away with saying this to me just about every time I open my mouth.

--------------------------------------------------

JUDGE CLAUDE FROLLO - THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Well, that and being found guilty by Judge Claude Frollo.

--------------------------------------------------

MUSHU - MULAN

Use this one at the gym. Everyone will love it and you will get a standing ovation for your wit.

--------------------------------------------------

AUDREY - ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE

While I was normally the kid getting their lunch money taken, I would still probably be able to use this line on small children and animals.

--------------------------------------------------

SCAR - THE LION KING

Sarcasm at its finest. Best when said to someone that you actually are kind of afraid of so that the words come out more naturally. It's all about the attitude.

--------------------------------------------------

ESMERALDA - THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME

Snaps to Esmeralda for being this quick-witted while also fighting. Luckily, on this one she did the thinking for us, so we can just focus on the fighting.

--------------------------------------------------

MALEFICENT - SLEEPING BEAUTY

I suggest using this line when you have to lend your friend money because they forgot their wallet at home. That way it's much more literal.

--------------------------------------------------

HADES - HERCULES

The harsh truth, Meg. This one goes over very well when discussing guy trouble with your friends. Say this one enough times and maybe it will stick!

--------------------------------------------------

CHARLOTTE LA BOUFF - THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG

And then the next time you see that jerk you can use this line. Hmm, I guess girls aren't so nice either!

--------------------------------------------------

BUZZ LIGHTYEAR - TOY STORY

Used on someone who is actually taller than you. It's ironic. It's fun. And it'll sting all the more.

--------------------------------------------------

SCAR - THE LION KING

Jah feel, Scar. Jah feel.

--------------------------------------------------

URSULA - THE LITTLE MERMAID

This is a great way to shut down anyone who likes to talk about you behind your back. It's not your fault they're jealous of your fabulousness!

--------------------------------------------------

MARY POPPINS - MARY POPPINS

I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

--------------------------------------------------

TIMON - THE LION KING

I could use this all the time, always, forever. Maybe I'm just bad at using sarcasm? Nah, that can't be it!

--------------------------------------------------

LILO - LILO & STITCH

I'm not saying we condone physical violence, but...well, maybe sometimes.

I don't think I ever realized just how sassy some of these movies were until just now. Mushu is no joke! I would say that one of your only dangers when using these lines would be that the person you say them to will also be a huge Disney fan. Your cover will be blown, but maybe then you guys can bond over your shared love of all things Disney. There's always a silver lining!
