We all know Ben Mackenzie is portraying a young Detective Gordon on FOX's Gotham, but for the DC Cinematic Universe where Bruce Wayne is more than just an adult, but an old man, we need an older Jim Gordon. But how old is too old? What is just the right age? We don't want him to be a whole generation older than Bruce, but we certainly don't want them being the same age...
1. Bryan Cranston
Somewhat the perfect casting choice for the role, Bryan Cranston is most known for his incredible performance as Walter White on Breaking Bad, and as ... um ... the dad.. on Malcolm in the Middle. He is an Emmy award winning actor, and for good reason. He looks the part, and can certainly act the part. He also worked with Ben Affleck on Argo, as well as Chris Terrio on Argo. You could say he's the logical choice..
2. William H. Macy
Known best for Fargo and Law and Order, this Academy award nominated actor would be just the right fit for a slightly older version of Jim Gordon.
3. Sam Elliott
Going for a much older Jim Gordon, this Golden Globe nominated actor would make a great fit, considering the vast variety of films and television shows he has appeared in. Regardless of him appearing in Hulk (2003) and Ghost Rider.
4. Tom Selleck
A practical choice for Jim Gordon, Tom Selleck is best known for Magnum, P.I. and Blue Bloods. He's got the look, he's got the acting chops, and he has obviously had his fair share of portraying the law.
Who should play Gordon?

"What about Harvey?"
Not that Harvey...
