Man Of Steel, the movie from director Zack Snyder that established Superman, also seemingly killed off a character who would otherwise presumably have a key part to play, both in Batman vs Superman, and the [Justice League](movie:401267).
Or, if they didn't quite kill him, Professor Emil Hamilton was at very least sent to the Phantom Zone when Faora-Ul boarded his plane, and Hardy piloted it into Black Zero.
So what does this mean for Batman vs Superman?
Cyborg: Accident At S.T.A.R Labs!
Well one character that we do expect to see appear in [Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870) is Cyborg, who will be played by Ray Fisher. Cyborg usually begins life as Victor Stone, a college football star whose parents work (like Professor Emil Hamilton) at S.T.A.R Labs.
One day however, when Victor Stone is visiting his father at S.T.A.R Labs, there is an explosion, and Victor's life can only be saved with the help of technological implants - turning him into cyborg.
The presence of S.T.A.R Labs, both in Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman - are potentially made more interesting when you realize that Emil Hamilton is driven mad when his life's work is bought up by Lex Luthor.
Doomsday or Darkseid: The Secret at S.T.A.R. Labs?
Recent reports have suggested that Lex Luthor and LexCorp have some king of secretive scientific research underway, possibly involving harvesting kryponite from the World Engine and experimenting on General Zod's corpse.
In the end, there are more questions than answers, but it does seem certain the S.T.A.R Labs will play a key part in the plot of Batman vs Superman, but what exactly do you think that will be?
Could this work also be undertaken at S.T.A.R Labs lead to the creation of Doomsdaym, or Darkseid? Will we see the return of Emil Hamilton? How important will Cyborg be to the plot?
