After months of waiting, the first movie poster for Disney's "Into the Woods" has finally arrived!

The award-winning, multi-talented Meryl Streep coldly stares at us through the dead branches of the enchanted woods...*shivers* so creepy. She is probably thinking about what curse to cast on us this time.

This Christmas, the fearless Streep will be bringing the Witch to life in the film adaptation of the Tony award-winning musical "Into the Woods." The cinematic adaptation will feature the spell binding music of composer Stephen Sondheim and will be brought to life by some of Hollywood’s biggest stars like Meryl Streep (the Witch), Johnny Depp (the Wolf), Chris Pine (the Prince), Anna Kendrick (Cinderella), and many more. As a darker version of Disney's normal interpretation of famous fairy tales, "Into the Woods" will follow in the footsteps of Maleficent and Snow White and the Huntsman. However, fans of the musical should note that many of the adult themes found in the original plotline have likely been toned down or eliminated completely due to the film's PG rating. Nevertheless, as we saw in the trailer, Disney's Into the Woods should be a delight to watch for every fairy tale fan, regardless of age!

Quick Synopsis:

When a baker (Corden) and his wife (Blunt) are cursed with childlessness, they must set out to attain special objects in order to appease the Witch (Streep). During the journey, we meet some of the most timeless characters of all time such as Rapunzel (Mauzy), Little Red Riding Hood (Crawford), the Wolf (Depp), Cinderella (Kendrick), and many more. This realistic, dark twist to our favorite childhood stories shows the less-thanhappy consequences of these characters supposed happily-ever-afters.
