I'm a Fan Theorist. I give ridiculous predictions for movies and TV shows. I'd like to call them "Ridictable Theories"!

As soon as the end credit scene from [X-Men: Days Of Future Past](movie:203942) was revealed, everyone started talking! The scene showed a gray skinned character, Apocalypse in his younger years, manipulating the blocks of a pyramid, and ended with four horsemen standing in the distance.

I would like to expand on this scene and its connection with X-Men: Days of Future Past and [X-Men: Apocalypse](movie:1194267), as well as [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035).

After watching that scene, it got me wondering why did they introduce Apocalypse in this particular X-Men movie? Then it hit me. The Sentinels!
The Sentinels’ full purpose was to eliminate the mutants. In X-Men: Days of Future Past it is evident that the machines adapted to every mutant ability and were slowly bringing an end to mutants existence in the future (I will get to that later). When Wolverine goes back in time to stop this genocide from happening, the Sentinels are no longer a threat. The Mutants are reunited and looking forward to a better future. This is where the end credits scene comes in.
We learn in the movie (and also in the comics) that Apocalypse was born in Egypt around 3000 B.C. During this time, Apocalypse finds out that one of the pharaohs was advancing human civilization with alien technology. With Apocalypse’s unlimited mutant powers, he decides to use this technology to put himself in suspended animation. The sole purpose being to awaken at a time in Earth’s history when there are more mutants.

Since Wolverine succeeded in stopping the Sentinels from wiping out all mutants, this meant that there were more mutants on the earth which then means… and you guessed it… Apocalypse Now! This now makes me wonder, how is X-Men: Apocalypse going to pan out? In that brief scene alone, not only do we see Apocalypse, but his Four Horsemen (Death, Famine Pestilence and War), as well! In the comics, Apocalypse recruits a number of mutants to be his Horsemen, of which are already well-known in the X-Men movie franchise. Angel takes on the mantel of The Horseman known as Death. Later on Wolverine and Gambit share the same fate.

I personally found this very interesting, since it is rumored that Gambit will be in the new X-Men movie. Speaking of “new”, let’s not forget about Avengers: Age of Ultron. Along with the original Avengers we will have the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Need I remind you that Quicksilver was also in X-Men: Days of Future Past? That being said, do you think that The Avengers movies will finally do a crossover with X-Men? I personally think all signs point to “yes”! Not just because Quicksilver is featured in both films, but also of another character. This character is a mean green fighting machine! Yes, The Hulk! The reason I say this is because in one of the comics Apocalypse recruits the Hulk to be the horseman known as War.

Now the first Hulk movie wasn’t the best, the second one was redeemable but it wasn’t until in The Avengers where The Hulk was finally done right! It would be interesting to see Apocalypse force the Hulk in joining the Four Horsemen and Tony Stark must bring out the big guns by fighting the Hulk with the Hulk Buster!
What do you think? Will this make an interesting twist for both franchises to combine into THE Ultimate Movie Blockbuster?
