Though it's slated to be released in January, we know next to nothing about the upcoming third installment of the Taken franchise starring Liam Neeson.
OK, we know Neeson will reprise his role as Brian Mills, and we'll also be seeing his daughter again (played by Maggie Grace). But according to Neeson, no one is getting "taken" again.
USA Today reported the plot synopsis, along with some brand new stills. Oh, and it looks like the film may actually be called...Tak3n.
In Taken 3 (or Tak3n, I guess), Neeson will be on the run, framed for the murder of someone close to him (his wife maybe?) Of course, this is getting a little too close to The Fugitive territory, so here's what Neeson himself had to say:
"I have to go on the run, I'll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities. Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me."
One the run after him is a law enforcement agent played by Forest Whitaker. He also had some things to say about the movie:
"There's no big fight between us, which I would have loved. That will have to wait until Taken 4."
But Neeson claims there will be no Taken 4:
"It's a rollicking good story. But I think this is the end."
I'll believe that if we can actually go a whole movie without Kim getting Kimnapped.
Taken 3/Tak3n will open in theaters January 9, 2015.
Will you watch...uh...Tak3n?
