Big news, True Believers!

Remember how, the other day, we found out that the upcoming Deadpool movie was definitely, absolutely (probably, maybe) going to be a PG-13, and not the R-rated gore-stravaganza most of us had been dreaming of?

Well, it looks like the foul-mouthed prayers of millions have been answered - or, at least, that the day of rating-reckoning has been delayed for a good ol' while. The movie's likely co-writer Rhett Reese took to Twitter the other day, and his news was...cautiously awesome:

Which might not mean that Fox are entirely on board with a straight up, full throttle R-rated Deadpool - but it certainly suggests they haven't written it off completely.

Which is definitely good news. Not so much about the R-rating - seeing as the movie could potentially be just as awesome either way - but because it suggests the studio might actually be set to trust the creative team to make the movie Deadpool deserves, before worrying about the rating later on.

So, while this news might well mean we've got a better chance of seeing a whole lot of the bloody...

...gory...

...and brutal...

...Deadpool that we know and love, it might also - perhaps more importantly - mean we're pretty much guaranteed to get a solid dose of the anarchic...

...chaotic...

...irresponsible...

...and deeply, deeply ridiculous...

...Deadpool - the reason most of us fell in love with the character in the first place.

Now all the filmmakers have to do is go away and make sure [Deadpool](movie:38663) is as action packed, hilarious and all-around-awesome as we're expecting it to be, and everything will be golden...

No big deal, right?
