BEWARE! This article contains some relatively large spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 5.
Although the finale of [The Walking Dead](series:201193) Season 5 saw Rick and the gang seemingly confined to a musty old boxcar, don't expect the zombie-bashing series to turn into an apocalyptic version of The Shawshank Redemption.
According to a new interview from TV Guide, it looks like the guys will not spend too long locked up in Terminus, but will instead be heading back onto the roads around Atlanta fairly quickly. If TV Guide is right, the first 8 episodes of season 5 will be set in the city - a possibility supported by various leaked set photos showing large urban scenes.
However, TV Guide is quite adamant in stating only the first half of season 5 will be set in the Georgian city. This opens up some interesting questions about where the remainder of the season will be heading.
In the interview, Andrew Lincoln also explains there won't be any hanging around in the season premiere. He teased:
The last speech in the boxcar was a very important call to arms and a show of intent. I think people generally won't be disappointed with the opener. What we're doing is more action-packed. This is the first time we've picked up from a cliffhanger, so we don't need to explain anything. Let's just get on with it. And that was fun.
Given the shocking cliffhanger ending delivered by season 4, I can imagine many fans of the series will be glad to know there'll be no idle hanging around when season 5 arrives on October 12.
Are you glad to see the guys return to Atlanta?
