As filming for Star Wars: Episode VII continues, let's take a moment and wish the son of Skywalker an extremely happy birthday! Mark Hamill turns 63 today, and seems as spry as he ever was. Sporting what the fandom has been calling a Jedi beard, the actor has been making rounds on interviews lately, enthusiastically promoting Star Wars and looking back on his impactful career as a voice actor.
While it's pretty common knowledge, Mark Hamill has served as the iconic voice of the Joker on several animated projects (and I would argue that there's no Joker like him, though Troy Baker did a bang-up job), brought the stoic Skips from [Regular Show](movie:1067153) to life, and voiced more Marvel villains than I can count. He'll be returning to the big screen at least twice over the next year or so, with not only [Star Wars: Episode VII](movie:711158) but also [Kingsman: The Secret Service](movie:713143), where he stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Firth.
One of the things I really love about Hamill is that he seems like a really honest guy. He's always happy to give his time for an interview, and the sporadic public appearances he's made up until now have always been joyous occasions. Years or no, the same bright-eyed kid that first graced our screens in A New Hope continues to shine through.
