With just six days (not that I'm counting!) until the season 6 premiere, the team behind The Vampire Diaries is coming in hot and heavy with the teasers, and this time we get to have a sneak peek into episode two.

The newly released images from the episode entitled "Yellow Ledbetter" center around Damon's frenemy, Enzo, and it looks like things will get pretty intense between him and Stefan pretty quickly.

But, don't take my word for it, feast your eyes on the brand new images below:

Aggressive Enzo

His status might have changed now he's a season 6 regular, but Enzo still hasn't really warmed up to a certain member of [The Vampire Diaries](series:200853) clan...

Don't Cross Caroline

Although Caroline and Enzo don't always see eye-to-eye, her posture seems to suggest she totally backs him up in his dispute with Stefan.

Solemn Stefan

Stefan appears to be lost in thought as he is forced to the confront the events of the past few months.

Dangerous Dining

There aren't any smiles on the side at this tense dinner... It's no wonder they are all so depressed though, look at the state of that salad!

A Swift Stab of Truth?

Whatever Enzo is confronting Stefan about is clearly serious enough to warrant a friendly little stabbing, and Stefan's new flame Ivy does not seem to impressed.

If you're too impatient to wait for the mystery to unfold, you can read the official CW episode synopsis in the spoiler below:

Knowing she needs to come to terms with the loss of Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Elena (Nina Dobrev) turns to Alaric (Matt Davis) to help her move on with her life. Enzo convinces Caroline to join him as he tracks down a lead to get Damon and Bonnie (Kat Graham) back, but Caroline is shocked when they make an unexpected detour and uncover what Stefan has been up to. Meanwhile, Matt worries about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) who is spending time with Sarah (guest star Gabrielle Walsh), a mysterious girl who has recently arrived in Mystic Falls. Elsewhere, Tripp, leader of the community protection program, makes an interesting confession to Matt about his connection to the town. Lastly, with the Other Side destroyed and gone for good, Damon and Bonnie reluctantly band together to uncover the mystery of where they are and how they are going to get back home.

I have a feeling I might be losing a large portion of my fingernails during this episode because it looks like this one is going to be tense...

The Vampire Diaries will premiere on Thursday October 2 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Admit it, could you resist looking at the spoilers?
