Ori and the Blind Forest for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC Q4 2014

This stunning game appears to infuse and combine elements from games like Child of Light with the beautiful animations and character designs of Studio Ghibli. The player controls Ori, who fell to earth many years ago and has been taken care of since by an adorable bear-like creature who helps you learn about the forest. To see what happens next check out the emotional trailer below!

White Night PC, Mac, Xbox 2015

White Night claims to be inspired by the works of Alfred Hitchcock and the glorious german expressionism movement, creating a highly visual experience set in a dark film noir mansion. With the use of matches you traverse the dark hallways to uncover the house's history and confront your fears.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture Playstation 4 2015

Made by The Chinese Room, those that brought us Dear Esther, this game's main focus will be the narrative it slowly unfolds. Set in an apocalyptic world, six characters tell their own story in different landmarks throughout the world which gradually evolve with the surroundings.

Night in the Woods Playstation 4 Q4 2014-2015

All Mae wants to do is run around with her friends, break stuff and hang on to a life of aggressive aimlessness. She dropped out of college and returned home to her crumbling old mining town to do just that, but she's finding that nothing is the same anymore. The old town seems different. Her old friends have grown in their own directions. Mae herself is undergoing some sudden and unexplained changes, giving her mysterious abilities that grant her access to a side of town she never knew existed. Oh yeah, and she's also a cat.

ABZÛ Playstation 4 TBA 2016

Giant Squid is a the new studio formed by previous art director for thatgamecompany's Journey (one of my all time favorite games). The trailer features an underwater explorer on the ocean floor alongside sharks and whales. Little can be derived from the trailer regarding mechanics or story, but it seems to share similar aesthetics to Journey. Austin Wintory, who provided the soundtrack for Journey, is also working on music for ABZÛ. A match made in heaven.
