He's got an incredible career, a stunning wife, millions of dollars, and a gang of gorgeous children...but Brad Pitt says he's still 'a miserable bastard'!
Brad Pitt raised a few eyebrows in his interview with GQ, revealing a darker side to the smiling face the public usually see. Comparing himself with happier, sparkier actor George Clooney, Brad said:
He’s funny as shit. He’s a joy to be around. I guess maybe I’m more of a miserable bastard. I’m a bit of a loner you know? I’m more quiet by nature. And coming from, you know, hillbilly country, I’m probably more reserved.
Alright, then, Brad.
He's also a massive snob:
I’m actually very snobbish about directors. I have to say no all the time. ‘No’ is the most powerful word in our business. You’ve got to protect yourself… To leave home, it’s got to be worth leaving. It’s got to be worth it.
In fact, he's not too bothered about happiness in general:
I’ve always believed happiness is overrated, you know? It’s those difficult times that inform the next wonderful time, and it’s a series of trade-offs, of events, of wins and losses.
So, he's either an ungrateful git...or is it strangely comforting that millionaire movie stars get melancholy, too? Or maybe Brad was just being interviewed on a grumpy day...What do you guys think?
Do you think Brad Pitt really is a 'Miserable Bastard'?
