Kevin Smith has been multitasking of late with the skill of Beyonce juggling plates.

While he wraps on Tusk and starts Yoga Hosers with Johnny Depp (and their respective daughters), the cult director has also announced plans for the near-mythic Clerks III.

Smith has finally gained funding for the project, and the script is already written. And Smith says it's down to Tusk that the project got the green light:

Tusk was the absolute bridge to Clerks III. Because of Tusk, I got my financing for 'Clerks III'. A year and change ago I was desperately trying to get Clerks III made for the 20th anniversary... I must have reeked of [desperation], because I couldn’t f–ing find money and s--t. But it was Tusk, with people going ‘Holy f–k, what else do you have?’ I was like, Clerks III! and they’re like. ‘Done!’ Everybody that’s like, ‘He failed, he failed!’ I’m like, ‘Thank you, I failed into Clerks III!’

Who knows when filming will begin or who exactly will be returning for Clerks III, but it'll certainly be fun to see what Jeff Anderson and Brian O'Halloran look like since Clerks II came out in 2006.
