While on the rounds for promoting his new movie, Gone Girl, Ben Affleck made a quick appearance on MTV to ultimately end up answering questions about the upcoming Batman vs. Superman.

He talked a lot about how the new movie will tie very closely to Frank Millar's Dark Knight Returns, calling it the "best" of the Batman stories (implicitly).

But even more implicit was the change of his voice when asked what the new Batman voice. He lowered his voice (seemingly as a reflex) and then deflected the question saying, "You gotta pay to see that."

Maybe this is a stretch, but could that have been a very subtle use of the Batman voice without actually using it? I want to think so, since his speech was so clearly different from his normal tone. See below and decide for yourself:

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters March 25, 2016.

Was that THE Batman voice?
