Big, the Tom Hanks '80s movie, is coming to FOX from the team behind the underrated comedy Enlisted.

Kevin Biegel ("Cougar Town") and Mike Royce ("Lucky Louie"), who worked together last year for the canceled FOX military comedy, are adapting the 1988 comedy hit "Big," reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The series is going to explore what it means to be a kid versus an adult in today's modern world, which provides quite a different landscape from the movie that came out over 25 years ago.

The small-screen version of Big will be an ongoing series with an episode count of approximately 10-13 episodes and it has received a script order plus penalty commitment from FOX. The film, which earned Hanks his first Oscar nomination, was adapted into a Broadway musical in 1996.
