If you've spent any time on the internet in the past 6 months, then I'm sure you've seen countless fan made reinterpretations of the Disney Princesses on various websites - this one included.

Where did this sudden explosion of fan art come from? Well, I don't really know, but it's probably got something to do with the relatively surprising astronomical success of Frozen. However, perhaps it's about to end, because one artist, Kevin Bolk, has now satirized the trend in a rather hilarious way - by re-imagining the princesses as piles of rocks. Take a look at this work below:

In which I harness the whole of my geo-artistic genius to reimagine the Disney Princess as a big ol' pile o' rocks. You've never seen them like THIS before. Mind blown! ;P

Considering he tagged the image with hashtags such as 'cliche,' 'overdone,' and 'parody,' I think it's fair to say Bolk did not intend his artwork to be seriously included within the gargantuan tome of online Disney Princess art.

And, love or hate Disney Princess fan art, I think you have to admit this is pretty funny and interesting way of satirizing the craze.
