Tom Clancy's The Division set to look amazing on PS4 and Xbox One say Ubisoft!
There is on thing that Ubisoft will definitely deliver with Tom Clancy's The Division; a final graphics rendition that's going to look incredible on the Ps4 and Xbox One. The game's technical director has stated that Ubisoft is constantly at work with regards to improving the game's graphical capabilities, even developing a custom anti-aliasing technique for next generation consoles.
We use a screen-space anti-aliasing technique with custom in-house additions. We’re also continually looking at improving what we have. - Holmquist
The game will also be released for PC also next year and there are speculations as to whether it will be released for Xbox 360 and Ps3, but I'm wondering if by then Sony and Microsoft want big games to stop developing for their old consoles. Exciting times ahead!

The Division: A post-apocalyptic third-person shooter MMO!
That's a long description for this game, but one that sounds even more exciting every time I hear it. With Bungie having released their first MMO (does Destiny really deserve that title though?) it appears to be an area that developers wish to explore. Let's face it, if you make a good MMO it'll be round for much longer.
But an additional trend that is all the rage at the moment is the post-apocalyptic setting. We've all relished in so many of these settings over the years like The Walking Dead, The Last of Us, the Metro games, Fallout, Gears of War and the list goes on. But what will Tom Clancy's The Division bring to the table?
Firstly, can I just say I love how they designed the map!
But let's look at the situation they immerse you in. The Division is inspired by Operation Dark Winter and Directive 51, real-world events which demonstrated the vulnerability of the United States. In the US a disease spreads on black friday that cripples the country in 5 days.
You play as part of The Division, a group given direct authority by the president to combat the outbreak and save whatever life remains. With its MMO format you will come up against AI enemies and players as you traverse the streets of Manhattan. During E3 2013, Ubisoft announced that players can play the game on tablets. Players will be able to join in the game as a drone to offer tactical support for players playing on PC and consoles. Very cool!
To be honest, I don't think anything will ever beat The Last of Us in terms of video games and post-apocalyptic settings (and it's actually one of my favorite games of all time too!). But Tom Clancy's The Division has enough going on it that it may actually have the potential to be one of the best in the genre. I'm also in desperate need of a good new MMO experience after Destiny.
Tom Clancy's The Division will be released for PS3, Xbox One and PC in 2015!
What do you think of how the game looks?
