Folks, I thought that I would compile a list of movie monsters that I think are truly some of the scariest ever to grace the big screen. I mean the ones that have left me deeply traumatized and sleepless for nights on end, only to find myself comforted by the ambiance of leaving my light on. I don't have a particular order for these abominable and savage creatures, simply because I find them all to be equally terrifying. I hope that you also see the same unprecedented horror that I do in the eyes of these cold hearted killers.
Here we go! Ok, first up hailing from the superior realist cinema effects of 1967, none other than...MINILLA! From The Son of Godzilla.
Yes behold the horror and shield your precious eyes. This guy is responsible for many a sleepless night throughout my life... mainly because I had nightmares about what else the Hollywood industry could conjure up. Never have I seen such convincing CGI, and for that obvious reason Minilla has to go into my list of truly scary movie monsters, I know you'll all agree...
Ok so now you have recovered from the horror of Godzilla's deservedly neglected son, we can now move onto a creature that has a little more spice to his killer creativity. Next up is The Gingerbread Man 2005.
Brings back horrible memories just thinking about it, particularly that one about what possessed Gary Busey to actually star in this movie, truly frightening.
Enough said about The Gingerbread Man I feel. Next up on my list is the creature from 2010's Hypothermia. Packing more rubber than a Durex commercial, the only thing frighting about this movie was its IMDb score. For the most part this creature runs around on ice giggling like a twelve year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert.
Moving on swiftly...
There is no pussyfooting around this next one from 1991's Strays. When you're rocking a huge budget capable of horror innovation why not spank it all away on some seriously pissed off cats.
Next up is Boa vs. Python (2004). Ok, so with this masterpiece I genuinely thought I was flicking over to some Rocky movie I'd never seen before. So I blame being completely mislead by the title for my misfortune with this one.
What really freaked me out about this riveting piece of cinema was the fact that these giant snakes were by far the best actors in the movie...seriously!
Yep that actually happened!
Ok, so next I think we have a personal favorite, this might actually be genuinely scary for the most part, Brain Damage (1988). Firstly, let's sum it up in three explosive words... 'brain eating penis' yeah that would just about do it. It is to no surprise that this phallic antagonist has a permanent smile on his face.
So let us see the verdict: which of these critters is truly so awful that it is actually chilling. I'd also really like to hear about everyone's favorite terrible movie monsters, however bad? I'd like to know.
Who takes it ?
