As the (2013) M.O.S.S. winds to a close, the Jasons resurrect an age-old classic... the Remake Roundup! Also, Carrie (1976), since Carrie (2013) just came out. The Jasons discuss the steamy opening of Carrie '76, Brian de Palma, slow pacing vs. deliberate pacing, "70s dreamy," John Travolta, Sissy Spacek, Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, why anyone hates Carrie so passionately, whether the ending is justified, the male gaze, super powers, passive leads, the modernization of the movie, mean girls, whether Sue Snell is using Carrie or not, and more!

Just noticed that the Carrie remake has landed on Netflix Instant Video. It's actually a pretty good remake, so you should check it out if you haven't yet. Heck, both versions of the movie are on there, so you can do a Remake Roundup comparison of your own!

The M.O.S.S., or Month of Spooky Shit, is the Jason Squared way of celebrating the Halloween season. We'll be covering all sorts of random horror movies and other things during October, so check it out. We'll also be reblogging the stuff we did last year, so you don't have to miss out on that either!
