Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was a sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes and I haven't heard a single bad comment about this movie.

I loved this movie so much for a lot of different reasons. Right from the beginning it had me on the edge of my seat. It started off with an awesome action sequence mixed with great effects. Andy Serkis was the best man to play Caesar because he really gives the leader of the apes great character.

I thought all of the characters were really good in the movie. I liked how most of the apes had their own personalities and there were some humans who were with the apes and others who wanted them dead. Gary Oldman had one of the most interesting characters because you can really feel for him because his family had died from the simian flew. Another thing is that the movie focused more on the apes than the humans which I really liked. Transformers focused more on the humans which was kind of a turn-off.

The action was top-notch and it kind of surprised me that you can have a good action movie with apes. I really enjoyed Rise but Dawn was much better in all of the areas. It was one of my favorite movies of 2014 and probably my 2nd favorite summer movie next to Guardians of the Galaxy.

I would give Dawn of the Planet of the Apes a 10/10.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is released on Blu-ray on December 2 2014
