For me, the biggest killer thread we're waiting to see unfold in Sons of Anarchy is WTF happens when Jax realizes Gemma killed Tara?
Surely - SURELY?! - he's gonna kill her? However, Charlie Hunnam doesn't seem to think so. He told EW:
Anyone else in the world, 100 percent guaranteed he's gonna murder them in slow and brutal fashion, but it's his mother, you know. It's gonna be complicated.
True, it's gonna be complicated. Ironically, in killing Tara, Gemma has made herself even more important to Jax - she really is the only woman he has left in his life, and his longest-standing protector. Even if she doesn't always do the right thing, you can't deny she tries to keep her family safe.
Speaking to TV Guide, showrunner Paris Barclay also added more meat to speculation on Jax's emotional conundrum:
I think once he gets information, as much of it as he gets, we'll see it play out in a different emotional way. Even if she did it with the best of intentions, it's still beyond the pale. You know when Jax finds this out, it's not going to be pretty.
After all, she can cover her tracks as long as she wants but sooner or later the chickens are going to come home to roost, she's really going to have no place to go. I think she has to do what Gemma does, which is scramble and hope that it works out. And eventually I'm sure she has a plan to beg forgiveness and it may or may not work.
Hmmm, now I'm really confused! It's the emotional depth of the show that keeps us coming back to it...I guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens.
