Stanley Kubrick's classic sci-fi 2001: A Space Odyssey maybe one of the most iconic movies ever, with plot twists galore and four distinct narrative sections.

I'm pretty sure it would take me an hour to explain it to someone who hadn't seen it - which is why I'm so amazed by animators 1A4STUDIO's attempt to retell the whole movie in just 60 seconds.

Using cool animation and funny voice overs, it speeds through the classic like a pug eating a sausage. And yes - there are spoilers, so be warned.

This is the 13th episode in 1A4STUDIO's Speedrun series, which retells similarly ambitious films in 60 seconds, like The Matrix, Aliens, Blade Runner, and even Star Wars.

For those less enamored with sci-fi, there are also their versions of The Big Lebowski or Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas - which feel kinda surreal given that the movies themselves are pretty laid back.
