Alien: Isolation is coming, and thus the truly gritty, terrifying and immersive Alien gaming experience we've always wanted.
What sets this game apart from the other Xenomorph sequels is that it harks right back to the subtlety of the first movie, where there's just one bad MF Alien that your puny human skills are futile against. As The Telegraph's Tom Hoggins says,
'You can’t hurt it, you can’t run from it. All you can do is hide and prey it passes you by.'
Check out the dark trailer for the game:
Pretty cool, huh? Isolation is set between Alien and Aliens, where your POV is Amanda Ripley - oh yeah, you get to be Sigourney Weaver's daughter! - searching for her mother, Ellen.
I'm definitely chasing this game up - I love a game where you can really turn off the lights and get to scaring yourself stupid...
Alien: Isolation was released October 7th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
