Good news, Dredd fans!

Dredd 2 may still be resolutely unconfirmed, but that doesn't mean we're going to have to go much longer without the solid dose of the Mega-City One Style Judgement we all so badly want.

And why's that? Well, Dredd Executive Producer Adi Shankar has, as it turns out, been a busy man over the past two years - and as it turns out, he's gone and made a secret (and unofficial) Judge Dredd Miniseries.

Yup, that's right, an actual Dredd miniseries.

For free.

And you know what the best part is? It's heading our way next month.

We still don't know much more than that - aside from that the miniseries will be broken down into seven parts - including any casting details whatsoever.

It's not impossible, though, that we could yet see Karl Urban return to Dredd's helmet. After all, the actor is clearly attached to the character - and Shankar has enticed major actors to similar projects before.

His last comic-book spin-off Venom: Truth in Journalism saw True Blood's Ryan Kwanten play Eddie Brock, a.k.a. Venom, and the first in Shankar's "Bootleg Universe"? Well, that was Punisher: Dirty Laundry, which saw Thomas Jane reprise the role of Frank Castle.

So there's definitely precedent...

C'mon Karl! You know you want to!

And then let's see about getting [Dredd 2](movie:959324) made, huh?

What do you guys think? Up for a Dredd Miniseries?
