There have been some recent rumors circling the internet, that there are talks of an Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars trilogy. Don't get me wrong, Obi-Wan is one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars saga. But do we need a trilogy dedicated to him?

Obi-Wan Kenobi has been a huge part of Star Wars from the very beginning. We've seen him transform from a padawan himself, to a Jedi master, and a huge iconic character in the saga. Do we need to see anymore? The rumor is the trilogy is suppose to take place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Yes, that would be very interesting to see what ol' Ben has been up to during that time, but what could he possibly be doing during that time? After Revenge of the Sith he separates Luke and Leia, and hides out on Tatooine watching over Luke.

Agree or disagree with me, I don't think we need an entire trilogy dedicated to Obi-Wan, one film at most, maybe not even one film; if they're doing spin-offs, do a spin-off set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope and throw him in there if necessary. That is if we really must see Obi-Wan on the big screen again. As much as we'd all love to see ol' Ben back on the big screen, I think it is very unlikely. Unless Disney and Lucasarts want to ruin one of the biggest franchises in movie history with unneeded spin-off/prequels.

Whether or not these rumors are true, I think it would be a pointless trilogy in my opinion. They need to focus more on the expanded universe they are trying to create for it and not go back to old characters, UNLESS they want to have them cameo for other films. Leave me a comment and tell me what you guys think.

Should Obi-Wan come back to the big screen?
