Birdman is already one of the most acclaimed movies to come out this year, and the general public haven't even been able to see it yet.

Before its release on October 17th, new teasers from the movie are suggesting it might be acclaimed Mexican director Alejandro Inarritu's finest effort yet.

The director of Babel and Biutiful takes a step into the surreal with Birdman, which tells the tale of a washed up actor (Michael Keaton) famous for playing a superhero called Birdman as he tries to revive his career on Broadway.

The pressures in the run up to opening night, combined with his strained relationship with his daughter (Emma Stone) threaten to derail his chances at reinvention.

Speaking of which, a new clip released by Fox is worth watching just to see Zach Galifianakis. The actor seems to be following suit with Bradley Cooper, turning from his Hangover days to stellar dramatic performances.

We'll see what awards season brings.
