Episode four of The Vampire Diaries season six might be mostly focusing on Damon and Bonnie delving deep into the early '90s for clues about their whereabouts, but the younger Salvatore brother also gets his chance to shine.

According to the official synopsis, 'Black Hole Sun' also focuses on Stefan's attempts to give Elena a new lease of life thanks to the art of reinvention, and the brand new photo set focuses on this meeting of minds.

To the New Elena!

Stefan and Elena raise a brew to her decision to move on from the loss of Damon. It's quite an achievement, even if she has had to resort to mind control!

Is This the Unexpected Guest?

He's not mind blowingly good looking so he must be evil. That's how these shows work, right?

Fatal Flirtation?

Ummm, I wouldn't confront Elena's mates while she's in her current state, dude. This frame can only spell serious bloodsucking, surely?!

Reinvention Radiance

Whatever Stefan is telling her about reinvention is clearly suiting Elena. Maybe it involves the mastery of hair products?

Did I Do Bad?

If Elena did suck that guy into a dry old husk, Stefan doesn't seem all too happy about it...

If you're too impatient to wait to see the entire episode unfold, you can gobble up some more spoilers below in the official synopsis!

When Damon and Bonnie realize that uncovering a time in Damon’s past may provide clues to finding their way home, Damon is forced to relive one of the worst days of his life. After an awkward run-in with Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) at the hospital, Alaric steps in to help Jeremy get his life together and cope with the loss of Bonnie. Meanwhile, Stefan attempts to show Elena what it’s like to start over and create a new identity but he is in for a surprise when an unexpected visitor shows up. Elsewhere, an unsuspecting Matt finds himself in a disturbing situation when Tripp (guest star Colin Ferguson) lets him in on a dark secret

I can hardly keep up with all these spoilers and teasers at the moment, I don't believe we already know so much about the events of episode four when we haven't even seen the second one yet!

Surely this is overkill?

Are TVD team giving away too many spoilers?
