Deadpool, Wolverine & Weapon X

At the end of X-Men Days of Future Past, we saw a character that is crucial to the stories of Deadpool, Wolverine and the X-Men more generally - and then we saw him turn into Mystique.

That's right, William Stryker, the architect behind the Weapon X program, and one of the most vicious, evil characters in the X-Men. Founder of the Weapon X project, which sees Deadpool mutilated and Wolverine have his entire skeleton replaced with adamantium, it would be surprising to see William Stryker so near the end of Days of Future Past, were he not to have some key role to play in

Some recent internet rumors have even said that the Weapon X program will be a key part of the plot of Apocalypse - does this mean we will see Deadpool reappear, soon after his stand alone movie? And if so, would that make up for a non-R-Rated Deadpool movie?

Cable & Deadpool

The other important Deadpool related issue that comes out of his involvement in the X-Men Universe is the potential inclusion of Cable in X-Men Apocalypse.

Cable & Deadpool are one of the all time great Marvel partnerships, with their surreal and bloody exploits taking them all over the Marvel universe. The only question is whether [Deadpool](movie:38663)'s free roaming, fourth-wall-breaking anarchy will have to be reined in were he to join up with the rest of the X-Men? Will he be able to carry on in this style?

So what do you think? Is Deadpool's inclusion in the X-Men Universe a good thing? Will he feature in X-Men Apocalypse? Write in with your thoughts below the line!
