Welcome back again ladies and gentlemen to the 22nd CRAVE article: The Iron Man Villains we CRAVE! Sorry about my couple days without posting, busy weekend!
Since all the buzz is going around about RDJ talking about [Iron Man 4](movie:886190), this is probably the best time to do the Iron Man Villains we CRAVE which I have been waiting to do for awhile now. So, suit up, get ready to fly and enjoy the post! Be sure to check out my previous CRAVE article: The [The Fantastic Four](movie:34667) Villains we CRAVE! And my next post: The Thor Characters we CRAVE!
The Mandarin was born in 1920 to one of the wealthiest families in China. His father was a direct descendant of Genghis Khan, and his mother was a British aristocrat. Both died shortly after he was born. The Mandarin was raised by his aunt, who was angry at the world, and raised him to possess the same attitude. Every bit of the wealth he had inherited was spent training him in science and combat, with the result that he was broke shortly after reaching adulthood. Unable to pay the taxes on his family estate, he and his aunt were evicted and rendered homeless. His aunt died almost immediately, while the Mandarin began to wander the earth. In an attempt to revenge himself upon the civilization that had taxed him and rendered him homeless, he traveled to the Valley of Spirits and found the remains of a Makluan starship. The Mandarin spent many years learning and mastering the Makluan technology and the ten power rings he found within the alien ship. He is a skilled martial artist, genius level status, and his ten rings.
Little Finger "Ice Blast" Ring - capable of emitting waves of energy cold enough to stun an opponent or lower a person or items temperature to nearly absolute zero.
Ring Finger "Mento-Intensifier" Ring - allows Mandarin to mentally dominate one or more people. This person or persons is under his control and he is able to communicate with them mentally.
Middle Finger "Electro-Blast" Ring - shoots high voltage electrical blasts, the intensity of which is determined by The Mandarin.
Index Finger "Flame Blast" Ring - releases heat and/or infrared radiation, the intensity of which is determined by The Mandarin.
Thumb "White Light" Ring - releases any energy which is found along the electromagnetic spectrum
Little Finger "Black Light" Ring - creates an area of darkness that absorbs all available light within the area.
Ring Finger "Disintegration Beam" Ring - releases a beam of energy that destroys the molecules of any object that it comes in contact with.
Middle Finger "Vortex Beam" Ring - releases supercharged air in the form of a vortex. This vortex can levitate persons or items, or propel the Mandarin through the air.
Index Finger "Impact Beam" Ring - releases destructive energy on the level of 350 pounds of dynamite.
Thumb "Matter Rearranger" Ring - Able to rearrange, speed up, or slow down the molecules and atoms of an object. Also able to teleport people or objects to and from the wearer (can even transport people or items to other dimensions).
I apologize if you think that description was to long, but many people don't know what the ten rings do, so I thought it would be smart to throw that in there. Of course many people were just down right hateful to the 'Mandarin Plot Twist' in Iron Man 3, because most people went into the movie expecting to see the original Mandarin with his ten rings. But, of course we got the exact opposite of that which I think wasn't too bad since they cleaned it up with the Marvel short All Hail the King. The Mandarin is almost the most obvious choice for Iron Man 4, so I don't think its necessary to argue too much about him, because many would agree. And who wouldn't want to see him in Iron Man 4?
Ezekiel is the megalomaniac son of the late Obadiah Stane, also known as Iron Monger.
He share similarities with Tony Stark/Iron man, but he is younger, more intelligent and much more ruthless. He is described as a kind of sociopathic futurist, an opportunistic super-villain who exploits the modern corporate run, greed-driven society to further his own ends. Ezekiel seeks revenge against Tony Stark for his father's death. His powers include genesis level status, cybernetically augmented body, healing factor, repulsor ray implants.
As you can tell from the lack of origin and description, this character is pretty new to the Marvel Universe (made in 2008) and may cause some disagreements. But, just because he is new doesn't mean he wouldn't be great in the MCU. He would fit actually perfectly, due to the fact that his father, Obadiah Stane was involved in the first Iron Man and he died, so bring in the unknown son who seeks revenge for what Iron Man did to his father. Not only could he fit right in, he is actually a sweet character. He has his own creepy suit, very powerful and could pose a real threat to Iron Man. But, not to powerful that they need the Avengers, so Zeke could really go well with Iron Man 4 or 5 if they go that far.
The Controller's real name is Basil Sandhurst. As a young child suffered from a particularly bad bout of meningitis, leaving him bedridden. It was during this time that his controlling nature was revealed, the young boy developing a a desire to control his surroundings as a coping mechanism. Basil worked as an electromechanical chemical research scientist. He possessed an obsession with control however this obsession with attempting to maintain every facet of his experiments and tests and his stubborn refusal to abide by ethical standard and practices had him banned from most legitimate research labs. His brother Vincent Sandhurst who was as ethically challenged managed to find employment for Basil at Cord Industries, a competitor and rival business to Stark Industries.
However after an incident in which Vincent tried to calm his brother, who was prone to losing his temper, down, Vincent accidentally causes a chemical explosion in the lab. The explosion was devastating and seriously injured Basil, and would even cause Basil to be crippled and scarred. Vincent was unharmed, and harbored massive guilt over the incident. Vincent would go on to embezzle money from Cord Industries to give his brother his own specialized automated personal laboratory. Basil would go on to create a mental wave absorbatron as well as a super durable and tough specialized exoskeleton. The mental wave absorbatron would drain and absorb mental and psychic energies, and this would be used to power the customized exoskeleton power suit. Basil need not be paralyzed anymore using his unique exoskeleton power suit to grant him mobility. Now with his suit Basil Sandhurst would become known as the Controller. His powers include mind control, superhuman strength, telepathy, flight, and many more.
This Thanos look should be included in an Iron Man movie. Not the fourth or fifth, but some kind of Iron Man movie, mainly because I really like this character. I love his look even though it's similar to a Thanos look, his powers are sweet and his whole back story is really interesting. Sure, some will disagree, but this choice is more of a personal opinion because I like him so much. But, for those of you who agree with me, you understand why I CRAVE him.

Crimson Dynamo (like the picture below)
Fin Fang Foom
M.O.D.O.K and A.I.M
I know some might of wanted me to talk about M.O.D.O.K, but I don't think he would really work in a movie. That's just my opinion, nothing personal, just my opinion.
Which Iron Man Villain do you CRAVE?
PLEASE READ: I still have quite a few more CRAVE articles in mind, but I was looking back at my very old posts and was thinking "Wow, some of these are just wrong", so I would like to in the future do a CRAVE 2.0 were I update and redo some of my old post!
