Marvel has just released 2 pics from the anticipated Daredevil series. And while most of us were expecting to see the traditional red costume, it appears that the inspiration comes from the acclaimed Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.’s storyline about Daredevil’s origins.
Thanks to Marvel, we have our first look at their upcoming Daredevil series to add to fellow admin -Hulks- post yesterday. The photo features Daredevil in what looks like a first phase costume design. This is the same style of costume that we saw in the concept art from Joe Queseda that was released yesterday. I imagine that as the series continues we'll eventually see the character put on the iconic costume. I seriously don't think Marvel is going to pull a Smallville with this series. The photo gives us a look at Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in his regular lawyer costume.
The series was inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr.'s Daredevil: Man Without Fear comic series, which is considered to be one of the most influential Daredevil stories ever. It follows the journey Murdock, "who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City."
