News for Mass Effect 4!
So we now know that Mass Effect 4 is in the works, with its system being built on the back of the Dragon Age: Isolation system. Thus, with a firm structure already in place, we can assume that our beloved sci-fi adventure isn't that far, far away...sorry wrong series. But check out more on Mass Effect 4 in this article here!
The latest news concerning Mass Effect 4 will actually come in the form of a convention that will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina from October 31st - November 2nd. It is a science fiction convention and the panel in question goes by the name of "Science Fiction in Video Gaming" and they seem to have some information for us on Mass Effect 4!
“From the earliest video games (Spacewar!) to the current crop of games for the most recent consoles (Mass Effect 4 anyone?),” reads the panel’s description on the Honorcon 2014 website. “Science Fiction has played a huge role in the stories and universes in videogaming. Follow us as we take you back in time and towards the future of Science Fiction in videogames." -Presented by Richard Dansky and Gerry Martin.
Now, we know that Bioware have said that Mass Effect won't be their full focus for another year at least as they try to promote Dragon Age: Inquisition. Understandable of course, the company wants all of its series to do well, not just Mass Effect (even though that's all I really want right now, but Dragon Age will do I suppose...).
Mass Effect 4 exclusive for Xbox One and PS4!
Kind of a no brainer this one, if Mass Effect 4 (undoubtedly that title will change as they move to the other side of the galaxy with their new story) will only be unveiled at say E3 2015, then one can imagine that by the time it's released people will eventually have flocked to the new consoles as studios stop making anything for the good old PS3 and Xbox 360.
I'm curious, how many of you have actually swapped over to NextGen yet? I only got the PS4 two weeks ago and I was wondering if I'm a bit late to the game, I don't think I am?
In an interview with Gamestop Joel MacMillan was asked about Mass Effect 4 and its exclusivity concerning new consoles, his response was as follows:
“It’s kind of tricky to officially comment on that, but I mean, Gen 4 looks pretty awesome, and Mass Effect’s an awesome looking game”.
Therefore, I think it's safe to say that our old consoles will certainly be gone at the stage that we welcome Mass Effect back into our living rooms and gaming dens.
Let me know what you guys will be looking for out of Mass Effect 4!
