BREAKING NEWS Avengers/MCU Fans!!! As some of you may have already figured out, Captain America 3 is already proceeding with production. And what better way to kick it all off with the return of...are you ready?....IRON MAN?!?
That's right. Marvel veteran Robert Downey Jr. may return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Armored Avenger once more after completing production of next summer's most anticipated film Avengers: Age of Ultron. Though, this one may not be his final time as the self-proclaimed 'genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist' since his contract has extended itself to do not only Age of Ultron, but also to do Avengers 3.
Now Marvel is currently in talks with RDJ to appear as Iron Man once again in Joe and Anthony Russo's sequel to this year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Some reports are stating that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take a huge tide turning experience after Captain America 3. The reports are also saying that the film will be based off of the Civil War crossover comic book which started out in 2006 written by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven.
As many of you know, RDJ is set to return as Tony Stark in Avengers: Age of Ultron. But most reports in the past have been generated that RDJ would extend his contract with Marvel. He has starred as Tony Stark Stark 5 times (counting the cameo in The Incredible Hulk) in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Avengers and Iron Man 3 with Avengers: Age of Ultron being the sixth time (second in Phase 2) that RDJ has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Will the Civil War storyline affect the MCU? What will this mean for Cap's third solo adventure on the big screen? And more importantly, which villain should Cap face next with Iron Man by his side (that is if RDJ accepts the offer)? Who and whatever you think, leave your thoughts down below.
Captain America 3 is set for release in May 2016.
