The Chronology of the Assassin's Creed Universe!
If you're like me, then the Assassin's Creed universe is becoming a bit of a bore and far too convoluted far a gamer who just isn't that interested in the formula anymore. Now I know a lot of people still adore these games, which is awesome seeing as you get a release of two games a year some times! But for me, I've lost interest, but not necessarily in the story.
Ever since the ending of the first Assassin's Creed I've wanted to have some kind of conclusion to this story arc, and with every game it seems to become more and more difficult to piece everything together. So I'm going to take a look at how these two games, Unity and Rogue, may tie in with one another to clear things up for myself really.
I'd also planned on discussing the next Assassin's Creed game, the title I'd dubbed as Assassin's Creed 5 for simplicity sake, though Ubisoft has declared that they will no longer number their Assassin's Creed games but rather give them all individual titles (thus Rogue is actually Assassin's Creed 5...or is Unity...oh my head).
Anyway if I say 5 again it's just for simplicity sake and it actually refers to after Unity and Rogue. Besides I didn't want to make up my own title, like Assassin's Creed Creedless, or Assassin's Creed Goes 80s and Assassin's Creed Master Chef... or Assassin's Creed Moneymaker 47...

How Will Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue Connect?
Shay Patrick Cormac's story takes place between Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed Black Flag and he features as the protagonist in Assassin's Creed Rogue, whereas Arno Dorian features in Assassin's Creed Unity which is the successor to Black Flag (I just typed Assassin's Creed 4 times in that sentence...5, and it also makes no sense). Rogue is by far the more interesting in that it features a new development in terms of characters.
Cormac is an Assassin turned Templar, who seeks to act his revenge upon the Assassin's who betrayed him. This is probably the most interesting addition to the story arc since 3 or maybe even 2. Dorian's story on the other hand is your typical father-dies-and-son-must-take-up-the-role-as-Assassin malarky. But how will these two games tie in with each other in order to push the series towards its conclusion. Which is when? When will it end?!?! We know you like money Ubisoft but come on!
Okay, aside from all of this what will the connection be between the two games? I have a theory but have no idea whether Ubisoft have this in store.
I feel that Cormac will be the Templar that kills Dorian's father OR "No, I am your father"....apologies, Cormac could be Dorian's father! This would bring the two together in a genuinely exciting manner but we shall see what happens when the two come out. Additionally, we hope that the greater series arc will be expanded upon in some ways.
Perhaps the link will be an Artifact that appears in both games, it has already been confirmed that one is present in [Assassin's Creed](movie:437814) Rogue!
Do you guys have any theories of where the Assassin's Creed universe is going?Let me know in the comments!
