If you haven't heard of Isaiah Stephens yet, then you are truly missing out. We've written about him a number of times already for his amazing reimagined cartoon characters that vary from Disney to Nickelodeon but what he's got for us now is just great.
Isaiah has succeeded in combining our childhood obsessions with the world's newest animated obsession. In one corner we have everyone's favorite mid-90s Japanese Nintendo video game classic, Pokémon! In the other corner, the newcomer on the block, the 2013 Disney favorite, [Frozen](movie:411685)! Through some kind of rift in the cosmic animated universe, Arendelle is filled with over 700 new creatures. So what would these cool characters look like as gym leaders and which Pokémon would they choose? Isaiah has the answers!
Kristoff - Sawsbuck, Stantler, and Geodude
Kristoff might have gained some new companions, but Sven has no reason to be jealous. Sven, Sawsbuck, and Stantler all get along well and enjoy splitting the work of carrying Kristoff and ice shipments up and down the mountains. Geodude prefers to hang out in his Pokéball until he's needed.
Anna - Venusaur, Bellossom, and Pidgeot
I think that the evolution from Gloom to Bellossom perfectly mirrors Anna's life. As a Pokémon trainer, she is far from being lonely and now has plenty of friends to help her build snowmen!
Hans - Arbok, Crobat, and Toxicroak
It is definitely fitting that Hans' Pokémon are of the poison variety, considering his sinister intentions. I would love to see Hans and Kristoff duke it out in the battle arena, but Anna would probably rather fend for herself.
Elsa - Articuno, Beartic, and Glaceon
Of course Elsa would stick to the ice-type Pokémon! She's never had much difficulty capturing them either. These Pokémon see Elsa as someone they could really learn from considering she has some icy powers of her own.
So now that my childhood and adulthood have merged into one happy crossover universe, I can die happy. Well, not completely happy because I've still never owned a Pokémon or had the power to manipulate ice and snow. But hey, I guess I'll just have to live with the cards I was dealt. Pokémon cards, that is (comedy)!
