Whoa nelly! 'Hunger Games' actress Jena Malone may be putting a welcomed twist on Batman's crime-fighting partner Robin!
A very specific (which probably means it's true) rumor has emerged that Hunger Games actress Jena Malone will be opposite Ben Affleck in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice! Say wha?
An extra from the film may have spilled too much to a local Detroit news station and inadvertently revealed that Robin will not only be in the film, but will be played by a girl, a very AWESOME girl!
Reporter Kirk Montgomery of WILX-10 News in Detroit spoke with an extra at Michigan State University where a scene with Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) was being filmed this week.
“I’ve also learned that the character of Robin is now female,” the extra said, and that together with Malone being spotted with a new very red hairdo on the WB set pretty much seals the deal.
Warner Bros. would not comment, but I think we can all open a celebratory bottle and cheers to this!
How do you feel about Robin being cast as a female, and do you think Malone was a good choice? Sound off in the comments!
Batman vs Superman stars Henry Cavil and Ben Affleck and is set for release March 25, 2016.
