I've got a soft spot for Pokemon fanart. Especially adorable Pokemon fanart. And today I found a really great series by artist James Chapman, dedicated to the fact that pokemon can only say their names. Well, wouldn't that be the same all over the world, in different languages?

This series was featured on Soundimals, a blog which seems dedicated to artistically representing onomatopoeias, or the words associated with noises. (Like "Splash," "Beep," "Boom," and so on!) According to Soundimals:

In English, we say dogs go WOOF, but in Romanian they go HAM HAM.

So, have some Pokemon saying their names in other languages, or the English translations, which are both accurate and adorable. I hope you enjoy this informative cuteness! (Which you can also pick up as a print here from the artist’s Etsy shop. Thanks, James Chapman!)

Well it is a long stone. Definitely a long stone.
