Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo and Steve Carell all appear unrecognizable in the latest trailer for Bennett Miller's upcoming thriller, Foxcatcher.
The film, which is based on the true story of former wrestling coach, John du Pont, sees Steve Carell ditching his comedy background for something much darker and dramatic. The film has been completed for over a year with Miller taking home the Best Director award at this year's Cannes Film Festival. It's easy to see why from the new trailer:
Foxcatcher tells the true story of John du Pont (Steve Carell), a wealthy philanthropist and supporter of amateur sport, who killed his close friend Olympic gold medal-winning wrestler, David Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) on his Pennsylvania estate. Du Pont suffered under paranoid schizophrenia. Director Bennett Miller is returning with another true-life story after impressing critics and audiences alike with Capote (2005) and Moneyball (2011). Foxcatcher reunites him with Capote co-writer Dan Futterman, who worked on the script for the crime drama.
Foxcatcher arrives in theaters on November 14th.
