I would have thought there were already enough characters in the Game of Thrones books to keep the television series satisfied, but apparently that's not the case. We've just heard that the Lost and Thor: The Dark World star, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, has been cast in a Game of Thrones role that was created specifically for the HBO series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played the villainous Kurse in the Thor sequel and Mr. Eko in Lost, has been cast as Malko - a new role which isn't present in the books.

Of course, the [Game of Thrones](movie:817617) television series isn't adverse to tinkering with the source material, and in previous seasons they have often amalgamated several characters into a single one. Considering the character is being kept under wraps, it is unclear if this is the case for Malko.

In other Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje casting news, he has also grabbed a role in the upcoming McCarthy-era biopic, [Trumbo](movie:1119748). It's unclear who he will play, but he will star beside Bryan Cranston in the historical thriller set around Dalton Trumbo's refusal to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1947.

What kind of character do you think Malko will be?
