This is a tricky one! Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the 27th CRAVE article: The Green Arrow Characters we CRAVE! As many of you could probably guess, this list is focused on the characters you and I want to see on the beloved TV series Arrow. I am not fully caught up on all the episodes, so if I get something wrong just let me know (as a matter of fact, I'm watching Arrow as I type this)! So, lets escape an island, load up our quiver, pull back and let that arrow fly!
Be sure to check out my last post: The Captain America Villains we CRAVE! HERE, and my next post voted by you guys: The Daredevil Villains we CRAVE!
A complete mystery, the man known as Onomatopoeia first appeared within the pages of Green Arrow. After killing two lesser-known vigilantes, he set his sights upon the Arrow family, seriously injuring Connor Hawke. He later tracked his prey to the hospital to finish him off, but was stopped by a blood-transfer weakened Oliver Queen. After Connor's successful surgery, Onomatopoeia fought the elder Green Arrow, doing quite well never the less being hit with several arrows. Despite falling from the hospital roof during the fight, Onomatopoeia was able to escape before Green Arrow even had a chance to see where he had fallen.
Not much is known about his past except his secret identity has a family and his house has a secret trophy case with the masks of all the super heroes he's killed on display.
Some of you may know that Arrow producers decided not to put Onomatopoeia in the series because he "could not" be adapted to the big screen. But, I say screw that! Onomatopoeia is a super cool character, even rated on IGN as "one of the coolest new villains of the decade" which I think is an understatement.
I understand what the producers are saying, it would be quite difficult to add him into Arrow, they even "replaced" him with Mr. Blank in the episode "Home Invasion." Sure, Mr. Blank was pretty cool, but he's no Onomatopoeia. I mean it could be a little cheesy with all the sound effects he makes, but he would still be great to see and add a different tone to the series! Especially, since Arrow is going through villains like wildfire, why not add another great villain to that list?!
If you want to see a description of the Suicide Squad and the members I want, click here for the CRAVE article!
Anyway, the "Suicide Squad" episode was pretty awesome in my mind, and I want more! Whether in Arrow or in their own spin-off, the Suicide Squad needs to return to the DC TV universe. I know that they are getting there own movie and all, but I think a spin-off would be just incredible. Diggle (David Ramsey) has even talked about the Suicide Squad spin-off and how it could happen. But, like I said, whether it be Arrow or that spin-off, I (and many others) CRAVE the return of the Squad (with Harley Quinn)!
Michael Jon Carter was born on December 29th, in the year 2442. He grew up to be a foolhardy and egotistical man, and his only stand out talents were his notorious silver tongue, and his ability to promote himself. Never having been the best student growing up, he took a much deeper liking to sports, and football more specifically. Eventually he acquired a scholarship, and proceeded to become a star of college football, and even gained the nickname 'Booster.' However, being the scheming and selfish man we've all come to know and love, Michael started actually betting on his own games. He was caught rather quickly, and was banned from playing the sport altogether.
Forced to take a part-time job at the Metropolis Space Museum, Michael 'Booster' Carter was down, out, and on his last leg. On his nights alone at the museum, Michael began to to take an interest in 20th century history, particularly in that time period's Superheroes and Villains. After some time he became completely fed up with where his life was going, and began to concoct a scheme. Through the aid of a museum security robot called Skeets, Michael took a Legion Flight Ring from a display involving the Legion of Super-Heroes and a Force Field Belt that belonged to Brainiac 5. He also acquired a power suit that granted him Super Strength and belonged to an unknown Superhero. Lastly he took wrist bands that released Force Bolts and using Rip Hunter's Time Sphere he sets off for the 20th Century along with Skeets who possessed some historical records dating back to pre-20th Century history.
"Woah, Woah, Woah, Booster Gold?" Say the readers.
"Hang on, just hear me out you crazy animals," I say back to them.
Booster Gold would be a great addition to Arrow and even the DC TV universe for multiple reasons.
1. He could be the one that fully introduces the time travel possibility!
Most know that in the end of The Flash pilot, Harrison Wells looks at a newspaper dated in 2024. Now I know that is the Flash, but either way, if Booster came from 2442, it could introduce the possibility for time travel and maybe Green Arrow and Booster could help Flash figure out how to use his speed for the time travel and lead to many different story lines. Just a possibility.
2. Booster Gold could be the gateway for many heroes to come in!
Blue Beetle, Rip Hunter, Skeets, and many others could be brought into the universe just by introducing Booster Gold. Another good possibility that could add variety to the series.
3. The relationship between Green Arrow and Booster Gold!
Can you imagine the strict, and serious Arrow meeting the cocky, reckless Booster Gold? That in my mind would make for great episodes and an interesting relationship. Having an opposite to Green Arrow might do the show some justice.
4. Because it's Booster Freaking Gold!
Booster is one of my favorite heroes, and of course a loyal fan like myself would want him to be included in the universe along with Arrow and Flash. Maybe he could have his own spin-off, but he would first need to show his glory in Arrow!
Do you agree with me? Do you disagree with me? Do you just love Arrow? Tell me in the comments below, take them polls and follow me for more CRAVE articles and 'Super' news! Thanks for reading!
NOTE: There will be a lack of CRAVEABLE Mentions this article because Arrow has used so many characters that it's hard to find any that are left! But, I guess that is a good thing right?
Constantine Drakon is alive!
Solomon Grundy (Zombie Form)
Anarky (I know he is a Batman villain, but I think he would be great in Arrow)
Others like Lady Shiva, Brick, and more, are going to be in Arrow at some point, so why include them? So, if you didn't see someone you want, either they were already in the show or I'm just as blind as Daredevil (which isn't that bad).
