Tyson Murphy is a Lead Character artist at Blizzard Entertainment, the developers behind World of Warcraft and StarCraft.

In his spare time he likes to practice his craft using classic movies - including these beautiful digitized stills from Disney movies.

Borrowing images from One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Sword in The Stone, and Robin Hood, Murphy injects new life into Disney's 2D art, using light exercises to make the images feel more rounded and full of movement.

Although there's no denying that Disney animation is perfect as it is, it's nonetheless fascinating to see a new generation of animators inspired by these classic characters.

Check out Murphy's work below.

Robin Hood

Disney's 1973 adventure brought a new meaning to chivalry. Monica Evans and Brian Bedford played Maid Marian and Robin Hood, respectively - but they look just as cute in 2014!

The Sword in the Stone

The final film released before Walt Disney's death, The Sword in The Stone adapted the Arthurian legend about the sword Excalibur. Murphy's paint job captures all that's special about the young Arthur.

One Hundred and One Dalmatians

Roger and Anita. Just...aww. This classic pair may have fallen for each other under strange circumstances, but I like to think they're still going strong.
