Remember when the The Lord Of The Rings saga ended 11 years ago, with Billy Boyd - Pippin, no less - singing out the closing credits with "Pippin's Song"? Well, coming full circle, The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies is about to witness the very same ending...

Boyd has been busy. The singer and once-Hobbit has co-written an original song, titled "The Last Goodbye," which he'll perform over the end credits to Peter Jackson's final installment in the J.R.R. Tolkien adaptation.

Of course, before we hear his sweet vocal chords play out again, there's the small matter of the battle itself... I've been waiting patiently for that emotional scene between Thorin and Bilbo, which never fails to make me cry. As if Boyd's dulcet tones won't be enough to make me weep...

Looking forward to hearing Billy Boyd's closing credits in The Battle of Five Armies?
