So, after the trailer was leaked online, Marvel decided "screw it" and posted the teaser to their next inevitable blockbuster, Avengers: Age of Ultron. And i have to say, the hype is real.
Everything about this trailer is perfect. From the Pinocchio music, thus showing the metaphor Ultron is based off of, to finally seeing the new costumes in action (Hulkbuster anyone?), to James Spader's bone-chilling monologue as the android himself. It tells little about the movie and gives much to speculation.
However, we have yet to see our first look at The Vision, played by J.A.R.V.I.S himself Paul Bettany. Seeing as he is a creation of Ultron, it's likely he wont have that big of a role. But we do have a look at the m****t twins. Oh wait, sorry, miracle twins, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, looking as though they are following the original comic book roots in that they are villains turned heroes. It's very interesting to see how much this variation of Quicksilver will differ from the fan-favorite Evan Peters take from this years X-Men: Days of Future Past.
And finally, much to my relief, it's looking less and less like Civil War the more times I watch this. Unless you haven't realized this, the Avengers films are taking a more traditional approach to their storyline. Instead of keeping to what the comics have done more recently, they are moving much like the classic comics did, gradually upping the stakes for Earths Mightiest Heroes, aka Loki first, then Ultron, then Thanos.
Overall, I am pumped for this movie. Can't wait until May arrives.
