10. Spiderman Unlimited
Spider-Man Unlimited is a short-lived American animated series which features the familiar Peter Parker behind the mask but the costume itself is completely different to your usual classic one. In the series, Spiderman was mainly after Carnage & Venom until the to was ultimately cancelled. It was pretty good though!
Number 9 is a very unsettling and strange one, but if you've never heard of it, it's quite interesting. Peter Parker asked for what he thought was a cure, but in actual fact, it sped up the process of the bite he gained from the spider to the point of him actually turning in to a spider. Thus being known as Man-Spider. Quite creepy, but interesting.
Just like there's Batgirl, Supergirl and many more, there is also a Spider-Girl. A very popular character among the Marvel Universe and definitely one of the coolest versions of Spidey out there. The character was created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz as the teenage daughter of Peter Parker
7. Spider-Man India
This is a comic book series that ran in 2004. It ran for four issues, which were later also published in the United States in 2005. His costume is considerable different to the other Spiderman costumes. This one is pretty badass in my opinion.. Definitely one of my favorites. His name is Pavitr Prabhakar, he is a simple Indian boy from a remote village, moves to Mumbai with his Aunt Maya and Uncle Bhim to study after getting half a scholarship. Unlike Peter Parker, he was granted his powers.
6. Spider-Man Noir
This alternative take on the Spider-Man mythos is set in 1933 – during the Great Depression. While Peter Parker still becomes the titular Spider-Man, the initial focus of the story is upon Daily Bugle reporter Ben Urich. He is an experienced and respected reporter who runs a network of informants under the alias of the Spider. The Goblin is a crime lord also! Sound cool, right? This Spider-Man featured in the hit game, Shattered Dimensions.
5. Iron Spider-Man
This is an armor that Iron Man gave to Spider-Man and other various scarlet spiders in the time of the Superhuman Registration Act that Iron Man wanted to enforce. Spider-Man gave the costume up despite loving it. He even said: "I just wanna say for the record, they haven't invented a word for how cool this armor is"
4. Miles Morales Spiderman
The character was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, with Bendis and Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso drawing inspiration from both U.S. President Barack Obama and American actor Donald Glover. Reaction to the character varied, with some, including Spider-Man's creator, Stan Lee, approving the creation of a positive role model for non-white children.
3. Future Foundation Spiderman
A Future Foundation costume is a type of costume given to Spider-Man upon joining the Future Foundation as part of Johnny Storm's last will and testament. Most members of the Future Foundation own a costume with the same function as Spider-Man's. A Future Foundation costume can never get dirty, as it is made of a new generation of "Unstable Molecules". And it is this same technology that allows him to change this costume to his classic red and blue or in civilian clothes with just a thought. Insanely cool stuff!
2. 2099 Spider-Man
His secret alter ego is Miguel O'Hara, a brilliant geneticist living in New York in the year 2099 A.D. who is attempting to recreate the abilities of the original Spider-Man in other people and later suffers a related accident that causes half his DNA to be re-written with a spider's genetic code. O'Hara is the first Latino character to assume the identity of Spider-Man.
1. Symbiote Spider-Man
The definitive alternate Spidey. Insanely cool and immensely popular! This guy has had his alternations and various stories told. The powers possessed include: superhuman strength, speed, endurance, agility, healing factor, and intelligence. Some may say it's over-powered, but as you well know, it has it's side effects.
- Scarlet Spider
- Cosmic Spider-Man
- Anti-Sinister Six
