With the release of the Avengers 2 trailer it would seem that the war for comic movie supremacy is still very much burning at a million degrees. I mean come on leave it to comic con to leave all us geeks trying to figure out how we are going to spend the next 8 years worth of cinema trips. Marvel came out swinging with the news of RDJ putting pen to paper on a new deal starting with Cap3, sparking all sorts of Civil War rumors. DC/WB followed that up (after picking there jaw off the floor obviously) by announcing there entire Justice League slate till 2020.

OH IT'S COMING...
OH IT'S COMING...

Holy Crap my inner Fanboy just unloaded his full wad all over his Batman shorts both of these announcements blew my mind.... But just when we thought DC had finally managed to steal some of the glory Marvel has been basking in for the last few years........... Well they only went and released the most pimpest, most bad ass, most glory shot worthy Avengers 2 trailer they could have possibly released.

OH MY DAYSSSSSSSSS.

However one place DC is leading the way is on the Telebox. DC/WB/CW is totally killing it on the small screen. Smallville was an absolute monster that no one really saw coming, but it gave the CW the balls to take on a bit of a riskier venture in Arrow, and as we know they are killing that series so they recently Introduced the spin-off of The Flash which is just as good if not better than Arrow. DC also has Gotham over at Fox and Constantine on the NBC.

PRETTY SWEET LINE UP
PRETTY SWEET LINE UP

With all these shows kicking around we can expect Crossovers galore. We already know Flash and [Arrow](series:720988) are going to splash over into each others worlds, there are possibilities if deals can be struck of the others and there are all sorts of rumors that more DC heroes are headed to the small screen and for any of these that are true I beg of you send them to the CW. But none of these ideas are what I want to talk about right now, which makes that a fairly long introduction. While the shows are primarily about the superheros and there side-kicks, you know Team Arrow and Team Flash, well I found myself pondering this thought and all of a sudden my mind ran with it...

When it comes to crossovers between Arrow and [The Flash](series:1068303) I would love to see a one episode special where we take ourselves away from the Heroes and we had a strictly powerless detective episode. By this I mean a sort of Blue Bloods type deal in which for this one off episode the stars of the show are Detective Quentin Lance (Arrow) and Detective Joe West (Flash).

Hear me out before you click to someone elses post. I think this would be so much fun. I dunno, maybe there is a case that crosses both there city's, it can be against a super or just the two of them taking down a Vertigo ring. We are establishing that Joe West is a damn fine Detective in Flash, not a great deal gets by him even if he is a bit soft hearted. On the flip side we have this hard ass, kind of tow the line Detective in Lance who let's be honest, he is the worst detective in history of television. His daughter went missing with a billionaire playboy, the billionaire returns home some years later, at the same time a vigilante shows up in town. His daughter then comes back from the dead out of nowhere but this time she is a bit of a crime fighter and he knows this... Hello earth calling Quentin Lance, do the fricking math and its pretty damn obvious Olly Queen is Arrow, Ya dafty.

What the CW has done though is give both these coppers very real, very fleshed out characters and they don't just feel like they are chewing the scenery, I love Paul Blackthorne as Lance and Jesse L. Martin is better than I hoped.

So could we please just get one episode where these two guys take on a sort of Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey (some Bad Boys there for you) sort of Buddy Cop relationship. I think these guys would be great on a case together, I suspect it would be a sort of Pink Panther scenario but in the end the catch the Baddie.

And yeah that's my idea, okay its not exactly fleshed out as such but it was just something that gave me a bit of a giggle and I wanted to share my inner geek with you guys tonight after all what are we without our childish thoughts.
