According to Newsarama and other sources, Marvel Studios is holding a special event this Tuesday, which guarantees something big is in the offing!

According to Newsarama:

Marvel Studios is taking a page from Silicon Valley, and issued a surprise, and mysterious, invitation for Tuesday, October 28. The invitations, extended to Newsarama and other sites that cover comic book movies, says nothing other than the date, the morning time, and the location of the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. The invitation certainly brings to mind what Apple has done when announcing a major product in the past. It does specify the event is a Marvel Studios one, not Marvel Comics.
So what could be big enough for their own “special event”? Following Warner Bros.' Internet-capturing DC movie reveal last week, immediate speculation has to turn to Phase 3 of Marvel's film slate. Will we get an official announcement on Captain America: Civil War? Maybe they finally have some casting and other information about Doctor Strange. Or heck, even something out of left field, like a Captain Marvel announcement could take place. Whichever way it pans out, you can bet an event like this, which is relatively unprecedented in the industry, will likely have something major to reveal.

I don't know about all of you, but I find this really, really exciting! Like many, I was disappointed when Marvel did not have any major revelations for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (save for "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" being put on the schedule) at either San Diego Comic-Con or New York Comic-Con. With two open slots in their schedule for 2016 fast approaching, I felt they had missed an opportunity to make such announcements a big deal.

Now, with an "Apple-like" announcement, Marvel Studios' announcements will be uncluttered with other news from a big con AND will be more of a show than DC/WB's release of their slate to...investors.

There are so many possibilities here...Casting announced for "Doctor Strange"? Confirmation of a title for "Captain America 3" AND a confirmation that Robert Downey, Jr. will be in it? A "Captain Marvel", "Black Panther', "Black Widow","Gamora", "Nova", "Inhumans" or "Moon Knight" film becoming a reality? Wesley Snipes strolling on stage to say he's back as "Blade"? A title and date for "Thor 3"?

I don't know..What I do know is..I! Can't! Wait!
