Blockbuster tentpole movies releasing banners is nothing new, but when they're concerning Peter Jackson's upcoming take on Tolkien's world for his final installment in the Hobbit trilogy, which brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, and the Company of Dwarves, it's pretty hard not to get excited...

Enter: An epic new The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies banner (via Entertainment Weekly), featuring the titular battle. While The Battle of the Five Armies is yet to begin, the war for this winter's most anticipated film is already over - and it's this one:

The Battle of the Five Armies banner.

Epic, no?

While there may be the odd gripe about Jackson's decision to film The Hobbit as a trilogy - when the book itself is hardly an epic - there's something satisfying in the knowledge that the director's return to Middle-earth will pay painstaking attention to the detail of the J.R.R. Tolkien's novel. At least, that's what this new banner tells me...

Now let's all just pray for that Bilbo/Thorin ending we've all been waiting for!
